Bellevue Public Schools won the Circle of Excellence (COE) award on Sept. 8 for the continuous dedication and commitment towards improvement and providing quality education.
The competition for this award was far and wide. People all over the world are eligible for this award, stretching to Italy and The United Arab Emirates.
“There are so many good school districts around us,” said superintendent Jeff Rippe. “However, I believe this award set BPS apart from those other districts for all the great work that is happening in our district.”
Many districts go through the same process as Bellevue Public Schools did to obtain the COE award.
“Every five years Bellevue Public Schools has to go through an accreditation process. We use Cognia for this process. Cognia does accreditation worldwide,” said Rippe. “After their visit this year and receiving one of their highest scores ever, we were selected to receive the award.”
Not every district receives this award, making it something special for us to celebrate.
“Receiving this award means that our staff members are performing at a high level. In the future, we will need to continue that work, but also find areas where we can continue to grow and improve,” said Rippe. “I believe this award recognizes BPS commitment to continuous improvement and demonstrates our staff day to day efforts to improve outcomes for all of our students.”
The award means many things for BPS, such as the ability to be the best it can be. There will always be room to grow, but as of now, take some time to celebrate your part in making the district amazing.
“I am extremely happy and proud of our staff members, parents, students, and all stakeholders for winning this award. No one deserves it more than BPS in my opinion,” said Rippe.
