‘Kung Fu Panda 4’: Unsatisfying ending to a satisfying trilogy

The original Kung Fu Panda came out in 2008, and quickly became popular. Kung Fu Panda 4 came out 16 years later, on March 8.

Kung Fu Panda 4 starts with Po, the main character, being asked to give up being a dragon warrior and pick a successor. He is being promoted to the “Spiritual Leader of the Valley of Peace.”

There is a new villain, The Chameleon, and Po has a new partner named Zhen. The action scenes in this movie were a lot better than I was expecting. The main fight scene was exciting and entertaining. Although there is a lot going on in these scenes, children and adults will enjoy it.

Overall, I don’t think this is a bad movie, but it is the worst of the series. There’s too much going on in the main fight scene, and it feels like the whole movie has no sense of direction.

There are a few characters that were unnecessary, including a pelican that is controlled by a fish in its mouth, and three bunnies who appear cute but are crazy. They’re cool ideas but they are pointless characters.

Like most children’s movies, it was predictable from the beginning. I knew that Po didn’t want to be promoted and I knew Po and Zhen would grow on each other.

Kung Fu Panda 4 had the lowest budget of the franchise. According to MovieWeb, the movie cost $85 million compared to the first three movies, which were well over $100 million each. And at $107.7 million, the movie has made more than its budget.

This movie is a great choice for children today, and they would really enjoy it. But, as someone who grew up with these movies, it doesn’t even come close.
