FBLA launches online store

The Future Business Leaders of America launched an online store for the Bird House, where people can order Thunderbird merchandise to their house.

Led by students Baden Brumbaugh, Carlee Rigatuso, and Uriah Terry, the digital website has most items that are already available for purchase at the physical store. Due to some limited stock, however, not everything will be available, at least initially.

“At the moment, most of our Champion brand things will be out on the online store,” Brumbaugh said. “Our Sherpa jackets, which are our huge winter jackets, will be out there. If we get another order, we’re planning on putting some hats like baseball hats and winter hats in there, and maybe a few other random brands mixed in depending on if we have enough of that certain item.”

However, when looking for new items, Brumbaugh recommends still going to the physical Bird House. The prices are also intended to stay the same, with the goal of a flat shipping rate and free shipping on all purchases over $100.

The creation of this virtual shop had been an idea for a while, but was recently pushed to the forefront, partially due to COVID-19.

“It’s been a long standing idea of Mrs. Hinkle’s,” Brumbaugh said. “We’ve just been waiting to act on it, because we really never had a true reason to have to make one. But this year kind of pushed that.”
