What Happened

On Wednesday, April 11, Bellevue West’s girls soccer team defeated the Omaha South Packers by a score of 3-0 on the home field. This puts Bellevue West at a 5-5 season and Omaha South at 4-5.

By The Numbers

Sophomore Lauren Keith put in work with one goal and one assist, while juniors Allison Romero and Chamberlyn Bridge also scored later on in the game. For Omaha South, three shots were made with only one scoring, but was redacted seconds later due to an offsides penalty. According to MaxPreps’ website, senior goalie Elizabeth Wolf for the Packers made 17 saves that game, one more than the World Cup world record by Tim Howard who set it in 2014 with 16.

Keith started off hot with a goal three minutes into the game with an assist from junior Abby Smith. Keith continued her streak with an assist later on in the game.
