Today, October 3rd, is German Unity Day-a day to remember when the Federal Republic of Germany or “West” Germany and the Democratic Republic of Germany or “East” Germany united to create one single, federal Germany on October 3, 1990. German Club members are reminded that we meet today from 4-5:30 in room 223 to unite with members of the Bellevue East German Club members to make “Berliner” jelly doughnuts together. You must have already signed up in order to attend this event.

Would you like to help someone on the other side of the globe? A student at East is collecting school supplies for Firqa school in Shindand Afghanistan. This Eagle Scout project will help keep these children out of the Taliban or Al Qaeda. If you wish to donate supplies drop items in the boxes in the office or ROTC room by Oct. 14th
