With it currently being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the student council organized the pink out game for Oct. 16.
This event is designed to show community support for those affected by breast cancer.
“I personally know people who have been impacted by it, so it does have a meaning to me,” student council advisor Grace Masters, student council advisor said.
The challenge of organizing this event was taken on by the students.
“It’s the kids who are 100% taking it over,” Masters said. “They’re the ones who want the students to have it, those who are in Student Council.”
The student council has had to put a lot of effort to make the event go as smoothly as possible.
“We look at game schedules, we look at the date, and so then, like, lining up a home game that’s in the month of October,” Masters said.
Masters said students will also need to help out by showing support during the game.
“The theme is pink out so we need as many people wearing pink as we can,” Masters said.
