With only one loss so far this season, the girls soccer team has made it to the state semifinals after not making state in 10 years. Sophomore Alex Swoboda, who has been playing soccer since elementary school, says she’s proud of the team.
“We have really good players this year and we’ve won a lot more than usual,” Swoboda said.
According to both Swoboda and Alan Carr, coach of thirteen years, balancing pre-game preparations and post game recovery in practices is hard. However, Carr added that the players really made a difference this year.
“We have had some great leadership from players this year which has helped us,” Carr said, “This team is the most talent we have had in a long time.”
The team plays Marian at 2 p.m. on Friday May 16 at Morrison Field. Ticket information can be found here.
