The Media Production staff, along with their advisor Aaron Stueve, will spend March 11-16 at ACX Aksarben Cinema after being asked to document the Omaha Film Festival.
Stueve has been accompanying his staff to the Omaha Film Festival Academy for ten years. Stueve was contacted in the summer by the Omaha Film Festival regarding the project of documenting the festival.

“I’ve never done anything with this many moving parts,” Stueve said. “I expect them to get a taste for what it’s like working at a fast pace.”
Senior Lucas Pechacek, the student director leading the media production team at the festival, also stated his high expectations of the staff.
“We’re going to be interviewing film directors, screenwriters, all that,” Pechacek said. “They’re going to tell us their story, how they made the movie, how they got the job, and just their overall experience with the film festival and their filmmaking.”

The Media Production staff has spent a lot of time preparing for this event.
“Everything that we do in media production class is preparation for this,” Stueve said. “We interview a lot of people, we make a lot of films, and we post them for the public to see and watch and critique.”
The staff is eager to gain more experience with film through this project.
“I’m pretty excited for this opportunity,” Pechacek said. “Just kind of to show off, like what Bellevue West journalism can do.”
