Best movies to see before the end of 2019

Meg Gross, Opinion Editor

Now that we’re reaching the end of the year, I’ve started to look back at some of the great movies to come out in 2019. Fortunately, there are still many movies to see before the year comes to a close. Here are four must-see movies coming out soon.

“The Addams Family” – October 11

“The Addams Family” will follow the famous family as they “square off against a reality television show host.” Famous voices include Finn Wolfhard as Pugsley Addams and Chloë Grace Moretz as Wednesday Addams. This movie will be perfect for kids—or adults—to see right before Halloween.

“Jay and Silent Bob Reboot” – October 16

Starring Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes, Jay and Silent Bob will make another appearance to the big screen in a reboot of the 2001 comedy. Ironically, in this recreation, Jay and Silent Bob make a return to Hollywood to stop a movie reboot from being made. Director Kevin Smith, who plays Silent Bob, describes this movie as “literally the same movie all over again.”

“Frozen II” – November 22

After six years, Disney princesses Elsa and Anna will make a comeback. Thankfully, major characters like Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven will return. ”Frozen II” will be one of Disney’s biggest movies of 2019.

“A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” – November 22

American television icon, Mr. Rogers—portrayed by Tom Hanks—is profiled by journalist Tom Junod, portrayed by Matthew Rhys. The movie will be based on the duo’s real life friendship. As such an iconic television personality, fans of the “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” series will have to see this movie.
