What happened: On Tuesday, August 28th, the Bellevue West varsity volleyball team lost in straight sets to Omaha Marian. The loss dropped West’s record down to 4-3, while Marian’s record improved to 4-2.

By the numbers: Marian led throughout most of the first set and eventually took the win 25-20. West fought for a tie towards the last few minutes of set two however Marian nabbed two kills in a row to win set two, 25-23. Marian quickly won the third and final set with an end score of 25-10. Junior Mak Sobczyk was impressive as she had 10 kills throughout the game. Junior Brittney Sheibal was also stellar, as she had 17 successful digs.

Next up: On Tuesday, September 4th, Bellevue West competes against the 2-4 Omaha Westside Warriors.
