Baseball Recap: Bellevue West baseball notches win against crosstown rival

What happened: The Bellevue West baseball team defeated their cross town rival Bellevue East 1-0 on Tuesday, March 27th.

By the numbers:  Senior Cade Povich started on the mound supported by a tight defense to stop the chieftains from scoring. Povich had a total of nine strikeouts for the game. Both the Chieftains and the T-Birds had few errors and a strong defense to keep it to a low scoring game.

Did you see that?: Senior Matthew Koenigsman went on base after being walked. Senior Cooper Allen comes up to bat next, and lined a ball into the left center gap, flirting with a home run. Koenigsman scored from the hit and Allen advanced to second base for a double.

Next up: Bellevue West will face Millard West at the T-birds home field on Tuesday, April 3rd.
