I. Thou Shalt appreciate thy friends

Finding lifelong friends that are going to be there for you when you need them are essential. Always make time for them in your busy schedule.

II. Thou shalt express thy feelings

We all have someone that loves and cares about us. High school can be rough for everyone, so do not be afraid to share your feelings with everyone.

III. Thou shalt stay classy

Set high expectations for yourself, and then stick to them. Never lower your morals for the approval of others; it’s really not worth it in the long run.

IV.Thou shalt not cry over a bad grade

While grades are important, sleep is sometimes more important that stressing out over a test. One bad grade is not going to ruin your life.

V. Thou shalt be genuine

Follow the Golden Rule, and treat others that was you would want to be treated. You should continually strive to be an all-around good person.

VI. Thou shalt avoid drama

Never talk bad about anyone. You never know who may be listening, and anyways, it says far more about you than it does about them.

VII. Thou shalt take risks

Try out for sports teams, join clubs, speak your mind and stand up for what you believe in. You’ll only regret the chances you didn’t take.

VIII. Thou shalt not be afraid to be thyself

Do not change yourself to impress others. Your peers will like you for who you are– and not who you pretend to be– and you will be happier.

IX. Thou shalt honor thy teachers

Teachers are not here to make your life hard, but to help you succeed. Always keep in mind that they do have your best interest at heart.

X. Thou shalt keep an open mind

If high school wasn’t the best, know the future is what you make it. Don’t let the last four years define who you are for the rest of your life.
